The Uplift Movement Flexible Dieting

I don’t like restriction. Who does? Really. Children help us remember that with restriction comes rebellion. You tell a child to NOT touch the kitten……and they touch the kitten. It gets much more psychological and complex, but I’ll wait for another video to explain that. The point is, it really doesn’t change as we get older. We’re wired that way. We may get better at distracting ourselves, but the craving to have what we want lingers…..especially when we CAN’T have it.

That is a huge reason why 99% of diets don’t work in the long run. What we restrict, persists.   No chocolate, No wheat, No dairy, No sugar, No caffeine, etc. Just writing that alone makes me cringe and that is just the start of a list of what several diets are like.

There is another way……..

Flexible Dieting

Click HERE to watch my video on Flexible Dieting and  learn how these various practices might work for you especially if you are someone that values freedom, needs flexibility, and wants to feel empowered over their own health.

Have you tried flexible dieting before? I’d love to hear about your experience.  Tell me more or ask questions in the comment section below.  I’m here to help and would love to connect with you!

I used flexible dieting with all my private coaching clients. All of them have had successful results that they continue to maintain years later. It took time to identify the best program for them because we needed to test what works best for them. It’s like a chemistry experiment when it comes to weight loss. Not only do we need to account for the biological feedback, but also the psychological. How does this program make you feel about life? Is it a lifestyle you can maintain? Are you happy?

This is a great time to try flexible dieting. Holiday temptations are everywhere. With flexible dieting, you can lose weight without feeling deprived.

There are 3 different types of programs I mention in the video:

The 80/20 Rule, Visual Measurements, and If It Fits Your Macros (IIFYM)

Here are some of the apps/websites I mention in the video for IIFYM: My Fitness Pal and Lose It. Personally, I like to use My Fitness Pal. It has more foods in its database. They are both really easy and include options of scanning bar codes and importing recipes. So you can actually plug in your famous holiday cookie recipe and see how many calories each cookie really is! The main benefit of that is awareness. Instead of eating 6 cookies, you may only eat 2 because you want to stay within your calorie range.
